Housing Specialist/Social Worker

OCES aims to support elders and adults with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services that promote healthy and safe lives for our consumers.
We are seeking a caring individual to work in our Housing Program to ensure services and support to residents on-site in our Brockton area locations.
What you will do:
Review the needs of residents in order to link to community programs and services.
Serve as the Multi-disciplinary Assessment Team Leader and meet with the team to assure service coordination.
Serve as liaison between the Local Housing Authority and OCES Facilitate care conferences with residents, family, and other participants.
Complete required reports for OCES, the Housing Authority and others as needed.
Develop and implement outreach plans.
Plan and coordinate social, educational, and recreational programs for residents.
Prepare and distribute a newsletter to keep residents informed of planned activities.
What you will bring:
Bi-lingual required- Haitian Creole or Cape Verdean Creole - differential paid! Your passions for helping others and the desire to make a difference.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with residents, families, housing staff, OCES staff and community representatives.
Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field, current Social Work License preferred.
Two years of experience working with elders and/or disabled persons What you will get:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
