Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Conducts or supports inventory auditing as required.
Monitors and timely prepares customer orders and shipments.
Uses scales, metrology equipment, and other tools to weigh, measure, and verify goods or materials as required.
Confirms documentation is complete, accurate, and matches incoming goods from Production.
Stores, organizes, identifies, and locates goods and materials in appropriate locations within the Stockroom.
Verifies products for customer and supplier orders are accurate including, but not limited to, documentation, quantities, identification, marking, labelling, and packaging.
Determines proper shipping method and uses shipping interfaces to generate standard and freight shipping labels, for both domestic and international shipments.
Ability to properly secure assembled wooden crates, pallets, cardboard containers, and special or preassembled containers.
Identifies (i.
e.
stamps, stencils, labels, etc.
) and affixes shipping information and instructions onto crates or containers as required.
Identifies, records, and communicates nonconformances including, but not limited to, incorrect documentation and products, damaged goods and materials, shortages, and missing materials.
Communicates with shipping companies as required.
Generates Purchase Orders for supplier shipments as required.
Tracks inventory of and requests replenishment of shipping materials, packing materials, and other supplies as required.
Notifies Quality of goods or materials with special requirements.
Promotes organization and cleanliness in all areas of department.
Adheres to safe and ethical practices during all activities.

Strong ability to read and understand paperwork.

Education and/or ExperienceAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
Six months to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively discuss or communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to read and understand charts and graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems or situations involving multiple variables or requirements.
Ability to assess situations and adhere to safe and ethical practices.
Computer SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
ERP System knowledge preferred.
Shipping Interface knowledge including UPS and FedEx preferred.
Other SkillsAbility to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or other related equipment preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
